The 2013 Lakers squad will look to improve their record from last year, winning just one game. The Lakers lost 10 seniors last year but the 2013 squad is ready for the challenge ahead of them. Senior Goalie Bryce Williams will look to anchor the defense while the Croyle brothers, Andrew, Austin and Alex will hope to ignite the offense.
“Bryce has been playing varsity for us for 2 years now,” said Bonneville Head Coach Stephen Sieb. “He has the in game experience and a great save record.”
The Lakers spent the fall participating in Laxtober where the upcoming freshman impressed Coach Sieb who feels he has a very balanced team at each position on the field.
Coach Sieb is excited for the cross-conference play, but is dreading the long travel times to meet up with South teams.
“It will be good to see some of these other teams, and to see the relative strength between the two conferences as well as how we stack up,” said Sieb.
The Lakers will jump right into cross-conference play with a showdown against Pleasant Grove on March 5.
