2013 Prodigy Play of the Week: Week 1 Nominees

Although still early in the season, there were plenty of great plays to go around last week as the 2013 season kicked off! This weeks edition of the Plays of the Week features gems from North to South, game-winners and submarine shots, top-right tips and some great finesse shots as well.
No. 1 – Peter Gibson – Riverton
Gibson takes the ball from the right side, spins past his defender and flicks it in for the goal.
No. 2 – Josh Harris – Orem
Harris takes the ball from X up the left side of the crease and goes with an underhand shot, hitting the top left corner.
No. 3 – Michael Perry – Pleasant Grove
Perry takes the ball down the field, takes it left then rips a 10 yard shot in the top left corner for the goal.
No. 4 – 6 Goals, 2 Minutes – Bingham Boys
The Bingham Miners faced a tough Lone Peak squad who jumped to a 10-2 lead at halftime. Bingham scored 6 goals in under 2 minutes in the second half, but fell short 14-12.
No. 5 – Grant Pierce – Judge
Pierce gets the ball on the left side, fakes the pass, then rips and underhand shot, hitting the top left corner.
No. 6 – Zach Bolton – Box Elder
Bolton scoops up the groundball and takes to the cage for the goal.
No. 7 – Ian Kadish – Skyline
With a visible injury, Kadish takes the ball and rips a hard shot from deep, scoring the goal.
No. 8 – Matt Anderson – Bingham
Anderson gets the ball of a deflection off the pipe, then shoots in home for the goal.
No. 9 – Chandler Wescott – Bountiful
Wescott works his magic from GLE, when the defender leaves he shoots it on the low angle for the goal.
No. 10 – Courtney Brandon – Brighton
Brandon takes it from X, sneaks around the back and shoots over the goalie and defender for the goal.
No. 11 – Trevor Ingram – Fremont
With time expiring, Ingram scoops up the loose ball and slots in home for the game-winning goal.
No. 12 – Ben Richard – Herriman
Richard takes the ball from the top of the box and rips it high for the long distance goal.
