2013 Prodigy Play of the Week: Week 5 Nominees

Prodigy Play of the WeekWeek 5 of the high school season has come and gone but it’s time now to vote for the best play. This week features great individual efforts, fast break transition goals, heads up plays, great outside shots and more. Vote now!

No. 1 – Nick Grogg – Juan Diego
Grogg gets the ball at GLE and takes it to the cage, shooting and scoring in the near corner in tight space.
No. 2 – Sean Sloan – Judge
Judge Midfielder Brian Kestle finds fellow midfielder Sean Sloan 5 yards from goal who catches, spins, jumps and shoots it in for the goal.
No. 3 – Chase Peterson – West Jordan
Peterson has the ball at GLE, passes up the wing, gets the ball back while sneaking behind a defender then shooting low for the goal.
No. 4 – Alex Day – Juan Diego
Day weaves through 3 defenders en route to a low underhand scoop into the goal.
No. 5 – Herriman Quick Transition
Herriman Midfielder Ben Richard completes a 40 yard pass to Dillon Meyer who squats low to collect the pass, pops up and shoots top-right for the goal.
No. 6 – Christian Pompoco – Park City
Pompoco finds space from outside and goes for the long bounce shot that is perfectly placed.
No. 7 – Alta Caused Turnover Goal
Alta Midfielder Josh McNall picks off a clear then immediately finds Harrison Waddoups wide open in front the crease who shoots on the empty cage for the goal.
No. 8 – Chantz Roberts – Herriman
With time expiring in the quarter, Roberts finds space and shoots low and away for the last second goal.
