2014 UHSLL Conferences & Playoff Pairings Announced

UHSLL LogoThe Utah High School Lacrosse League has announced their conferences and playoff pairings for the 2014 season.
The inaugural season of the UHSLL will have 10 teams competing for 8 playoff spots. Each team is required to play the other 9 teams in the league. There will be a North and a South conference. The top 3 teams in each conference will go to the playoffs. There will be a play-in games between the No. 4 North v. No. 5 South and No. 4 South v. No. 5 North to determine the final 2 spots of the playoffs. After the play-in games, the teams will be seeded from 1-8 and the No. 1 team will play the No. 8 team, No. 2 v. No. 7, etc. The Conference champions will automatically get either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed. After the Quarterfinals, the teams will again be reseeded 1-4 and the No. 1 will play the No. 4 and the No. 2 will play the No. 3.
The criteria for seeding is as follows:
1. Conference W-L
2. Head to Head
3. W/L versus next best team in conference
4. W/L versus best team in other conference
North Conference

Brighton Bengals
Jordan Beetdiggers
Olympus Titans
Viewmont Vikings
South Conference
Alta Hawks
Corner Canyon Chargers
Lone Peak Knights
Pleasant Grove Vikings
Spanish Fork Warriors
Playoff Information & Dates
May 6 – Play-in Games (played at the home field of the No. 4 team)
May 9 – Quarterfinals (played at the home field of the higher seed)
May 13 – Semi Finals (played at the home field of the higher seed)
May 16 – Finals (location to be determined)
