Aloha Tournaments Bringing Salt Lax City Tourney, Tiki Village Experience to Utah

A little about Aloha Tournaments
Aloha Tournaments is the oldest, most-established national lacrosse tournament company in the United States. It was founded in 1999 by Ray Schulmeyer and Chris Hutchins, who ultimately went on to found and co-own the Baltimore Bayhawks MLL franchise (which they have since sold). After successful playing careers at Cornell University and UNC-Chapel Hill, Ray and Chris, respectively, went on to have successful business careers in a variety of industries, but always stayed heavily involved in youth lacrosse, as coaches, parents and administrators. By 1999, Ray was the chairman and coach of a Baltimore area recreational lacrosse program and Chris was running a national lacrosse retailer, Bacharach Rasin. They teamed up to create the Warrior Lax Splash Lacrosse Tournament. Lax Splash quickly became the largest competitive lacrosse tournament in the world. Since then, Aloha Tournaments has developed over 25 different lacrosse events all over the country for players 6 years old through High School. Aloha Tournaments now annually hosts over 50,000 players and 125,000 fans at its events every year, drawing players and families from dozens of states and Canada.
From the beginning, Aloha Tournaments was dedicated to making the tournament experience more than a few games and a trophy. Our goal is to provide the ultimate youth sports tournament experience to every player, coach, parent, or fan that participates in our events. We provide a safe, fun, competitive, and family friendly atmosphere for athletes of all skill levels. Our goal is to have you leave our events happy, positive about the value you received, and feeling as if you have participated in a celebration of the sport.Salt Lax City
What is unique about the Salt Lake Tournament? What sets it apart from other tournaments?
The Brine Salt Lax City Tournament is the first lacrosse tournament to play at the brand new, state-of-the art Regional Athletic Complex – located just minutes outside of downtown Salt Lake City. This will be the best place to play lacrosse anywhere in the state of Utah and one of the best facilities in the entire region. We intend to grow this event to be one of premier competitive youth lacrosse tournaments in the west, and teams that participate this year will have the opportunity to make history as the inaugural year champions. Unlike other tournaments in the area, we expect to draw teams from surrounding states such as Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Wyoming. Salt Lax City promises to be a top notch regional tournament right in Utah’s back yard.
What levels of play will the tournament be open to?
The tournament will be open to youth boys and girls of all ages and experience levels. The age divisions will be U11, U13, U15, HS (A & B for each). We will work with each program, whether they are a town team or traveling club team, to make sure they are placed in the most appropriate and competitive division possible. We will flexible with our format and will be open to adding or modifying divisions to ensure that each team has a fun, safe and competitive experience.
