Boys: Davis Upsets the Braves in Season Opener

In a come from behind stunner, the Davis Darts beat out the Bountiful Braves on Friday.
The Braves came out early with one thing on their mind, controlling the game. Face-offs, ground balls, and shots on goal all seemed to go the way of the Braves, however Davis hung in there and continued to fight. With Bountiful’s goals coming from #8 Jack Fabrezio, #18 Justin Walker, #13 Dylan Rose, and #32 Britian Lopez, the Braves ended the first half with a resounding lead  over Davis.
Down 6-0 to start the second half, Davis found the heart they needed and immediately started answering for all of the missed opportunities they had earlier in the game. Replying for the Darts were Dillon Yocom, Josh Gee, Pepper Eames, Mitch Wilkes, Tanner Boden, and Ashton Reinholdt.
One fan was quoted saying, “There is no shortage of threats on the [Darts] roster and tonight the Braves were the first to learn that lesson.”
Berklee Baskin ended the game with a total of ten saves for Davis.
The final score was 9-8 in favor of the Davis Darts.
Davis plays host to Mountain Crest at Bus Park on Tuesday. Then on Thursday, the Darts will travel up to Weber for redemption from last years only regular season loss.
