The No. 3 BYU Men’s Lacrosse team (11-1, 1-0) will travel to Colorado to play two conference games against two top-15 teams.
BYU will face No. 15 University of Colorado (5-5, 0-0) on Thursday night in Boulder, Colo. CU Head Coach John Galvin said he and his team are anticipating the game against BYU.
“We are looking forward to the game vs. BYU,” Galvin said in an e-mail. “The RMLC [Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference] is a competitive league and we always highlight the games vs. our in-conference rivals.”
The Cougars will then use Friday to prepare for No. 2 Colorado State University (9-1, 0-0), whom they will face on Saturday night in Highlands Ranch, Colo.
CSU Head Coach Alex Smith said BYU is their biggest rivalry of the season.
“BYU has kind of been flying under the radar this season,” Smith said. “But we’ve been preparing for them and thinking of them as the best team in the country. It’s always a very exciting game. Saturday will be our Hall of Fame game, so we expect to get a lot of alumni and support out at the game.”
The Cougars are also anticipating their two games in Colorado.
“They’re always good games,” sophomore goalie Wes Goar said. “No matter how the teams have been playing, they’re always very exciting games. I know some of the guys who play for CSU, so I’m looking forward to getting out on the field to play them as one of our biggest conference rivals.”
Both games in Colorado will be played at 7:00 p.m. MDT. Follow live updates at or
