Former Bengal Kate Speare said this about Johnston: “I am nominating Amy because while I was home for spring break I was able to watch her play in the double overtime sudden death game against Riverton. Amy is a player that constantly improves and is always the first one into the groundball scrums or to stop the fast break. She is 100% hustle, and she demonstrated that in the game with multiple draw controls, 2 goals and several caused turnovers, groundballs and overall help in transition. She helped her team achieve a win in the double over time thriller. I got to play with Amy last year on the Brighton Varsity team and it was awesome, she’s the type of player that leaves it all on the field and is constantly trying to improve. She is often the unsung hero, but after making Mamaci Elite this past summer the entire lacrosse community is beginning to recognize her as an impact player.”
Collins had 2 assists, 4 ground balls, won 5 out of 10 draws and scored the winning goal in Brighton’s sudden victory win over Riverton.
