The girls poll saw little change at the top as teams have mostly played only their first game since the last poll. No. 4 Herriman and No. 5 Riverton moved up one spot each in the poll. Herriman picked up an impressive win over the defending class B state champions last year in Olympus in a blowout victory, while Riverton also beat the same squad in a one goal game.
Viewmont and Corner Canyon each entered the poll at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively. Copper Hills and Weber each dropped out of the polls in spite wins over preseason No. 4 Bingham for Copper Hills and a dominating performance for Weber over Mountain Crest.
The boys poll saw quite a bit of shakeup with only the top two teams in Juan Diego and Park City remaining in their respective spots. Corner Canyon leap-frogged Brighton for the No. 3 spot after three impressive victories, including a win over last week’s No. 9 Logan. The Logan Grizzlies came in at No. 5 in the poll after a narrow loss to Corner Canyon on the Charger’s home turf. Copper Hills dropped two spots in spite of their 3-0 record. Lone Peak, who was unranked last week, enters the poll at No. 10
