High School Team At A Glance: Northridge Knights

Today we highlight the Northridge Knights at a glance.
Head Coach: Jarron Woodson (New)
2015 record: 3-10
2015 playoffs: Class B First Round (Lost to Herriman)
Who on your team do you expect to be a stand out player this coming season?
Andrew Olsen-defense; Andrew is a 4-year starter that has been playing at a high level his whole career. He is one of the hardest working players I’ve ever been around and he strives to be the best.
Who is returning to the team that fans may not know but should?
Parker Bray-midfield; Parker missed almost all of last year with an injury. He is a smart, physical, and natural lacrosse player that is hungry to make up for missed time.
Northridge-LogoWho are your team captains?
Andrew Olsen, Parker Bray, Logan Frost, Tanner Mcclune, and Tanner Gallego. They were chosen because the rest of the team looks up to them on and off the field. These guys have put in the time and effort and have all shown me the proper leadership skills to help our team succeed.
What is your strongest position on the field?
Midfield. We have never had this kind of depth with so much athleticism and experience.
What is the difference between this years team and last years team?
The biggest difference between this year and last year is the mentality of the players. We all believe we can be great and these boys are extremely committed to do so.
What is the biggest challenge you will face in conference play this year?
We face a lot of teams that have been good for a while so it will be a test to see how far we have come.
What single thing are you looking forward to the most this season?
Playing lacrosse.

At the end of the season, which team will be holding the Championship trophy?
Northridge. Why not us? We work hard if not harder than everyone else and we believe we can achieve anything we put our mind and effort towards.
Who are the top 3 players in the state not on your team?
Stewy Tulane, Kade Weathers, Brock Carter.
