Who on your team do you expect to be a stand out player this coming season?
Mia White, she has put her whole heart into lacrosse and has strived to improve her game off season. She has phenomenal stick work, high game IQ, and a great attitude. Mia elevates the level of play on defense, offense, and midfield. She is by far our strongest, most well-rounded player.
West Jordan LogoWho is returning to the team that fans may not know but should?
Dezeray Kowalski, she is a threat on the circle, great on transitioning the ball, and takes charge at commanding the defense.
Who are your team captains?
Mia White, Dezeray Kowalski, Chantel Middleton, and Calli Gines
What is your strongest position on the field?
Midfield and Defense.
What is the difference between this years team and last years team?
We’re better. Our level of play is higher at every position. We may have lost a lot of seniors last year, but we worked hard in the off season, recruited talented girls, and improved our level of play.
What is the biggest challenge you will face in conference play this year?
Higher level of competition.
What single thing are you looking forward to the most this season?
West Jordan has always been an underdog, our program has never really been strong. I believe that this year, we have the best team West Jordan has ever seen. I’m excited to make a statement in the lacrosse community, to show everybody that we are a strong team that should be considered a threat.
Who are the top 3 players in the state not on your team?
Savannah Ernst, Kimber Power, Marina Mayo
What else should we know about your team?
We’re awesome.
