The Lady Terps are Coming!

Maryland Clinic

University of Maryland Girl’s Lacrosse and Recruiting Clinic
Attention lady laxers, parents and coaches! Whether your lacrosse aspirations extend to the collegiate level, or you simply want to be the best player or coach you can be, here’s your opportunity to learn by experience how the top teams practice, play and recruit! Players and coaches will participate in a Saturday afternoon full-on re-creation of a University of Maryland Terrapin practice, while parents are encouraged to join the rest and attend a Friday evening college recruiting strategy session for all, with NCAA National Champion Terrapin coaching staff, right here in Salt Lake City!
Paddling to Salt Lake City on December 6th and 7th will be current Maryland coach Lauri Kenis, and former Terrapin goalkeeper and coach, Alex Kahoe. Kenis and Kahoe represent the absolute pinnacle of women’s lacrosse, with accolades too numerous to list, including multiple NCAA Division 1 and World Championships with the US National Team and several of the nation’s most storied NCAA programs. Kenis and Kahoe can’t conjure crab cakes and coastline from College Park, but they will bring a claw full of another Maryland mainstay: Lacrosse!
The Utah Lacrosse Association is proud to offer this opportunity to aspiring collegiate players, their families, and all coaches, as notably, in addition to their stellar playing and coaching careers, both Kenis (Maryland), and Kahoe (Duke), have been lauded as their respective program’s recruiting gurus. Kenis and Kahoe will spill the beans on the nitty-gritty of navigating the collegiate recruitment process, and the requisite academic and athletic expectations. Peek under the Terrapin shell and learn the method from the turtle’s mouth on December 6th and 7th at the University of Maryland Girl’s Lacrosse and Recruiting Clinic.
As a player, in addition to 3 stints on the US National Team, Kenis was an All-American defender for the University of Virginia where she led the Cavaliers to 2 NCAA Finals, and remains among Virginia’s all-time leaders in multiple defensive categories. Prior to Kenis’ stellar coaching career at Maryland, she was an assistant at Denver and was instrumental in the emergence of the Pioneers as a western NCAA force. At Maryland, she has assisted the Terrapins to the top with an NCAA Championship, and has produced multiple defensive-oriented NCAA Player of the Year accolades for several of her Lady Terps.
Kahoe has international experience with both the US and Irish National Teams, and tasted the top with the Terrapins as a 6-time NCAA Champion. As a player, the former All-American keeper and team captain led Maryland to 5 straight NCAA Championships and a combined record of 100-5. As an assistant coach, Kahoe won it again for the Terps. Her storied coaching career extends throughout top-level women’s lacrosse, including turns with the University of Pennsylvania Quakers, University of Delaware Blue Hens, Duke University Blue Devils and University of Vermont Catamounts.
