BYU is coming off a great fall ball season, having played Westminster as part of the LXM Pro Tour, hosting the Cougar Classic Halloween Tournament and competing in the Best of the West tournament in Las Vegas.
We checked-in with BYU Head Coach Matt Schneck about the fall ball season and got a small preview of things to expect in the Spring.
Utah Lacrosse News: What are some things you can take away from this years fall ball?
Matt Schneck: We are a young and energetic team. In the short amount of time we have spent together this fall we have been able to identify some important strengths as well as some areas that we will need to focus on when we start up again in January.
ULN: Who are some players that fans should keep their eye on in the Spring?
MS: We have a couple of returning all-Americans that will be fun to watch. Grayson Dahl at LSM and Pat Matheson at Midfield.
ULN: What was your favorite off the field moment this fall with the team?
MS: Team Campout. After tryouts each year, we take the team on a special campout. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other. This year was especially great.
ULN: How is your Spring schedule shaping up?
MS: We are finalizing the last few pieces to the puzzle and feel really good about it. It’s going to be a challenges with 17 regular season games. 10 on the road. As always, we will face some tough completion.
