MCLA Roundup: BYU Heads to Colorado For Key RMLC Matchups

Last weekend was a great weekend for MCLA lacrosse in Utah.
On Friday, Westminster took down Concordia (Recap | Pictures) and BYU beat Arizona State (Recap | Video Highlights). Utah State traveled to Colorado and lost to Fort Lewis. On Saturday, St. Thomas got the best of the Griffins (Recap | Pictures), Arizona State beat the Utes and Utah State beat Western State. On Sunday, Westminster beat Northern Colorado (Recap | Pictures) while Utah State beat New Mexico.
This week will see an in-state rivalry game when Utah State heads to Salt Lake to take on Utah at 7:00pm at Judge Memorial on Friday. On Saturday, UVU will host Fort Lewis at 10:00am in Orem.
BYU will take to the road, heading to take on Colorado on Thursday and Colorado State on Saturday in what will likely be for the No. 1 seed in the RMLC Tournament. The Cougars faced the Rams three times last season. In the regular season, BYU hosted CSU and won 8-5. In the RMLC Playoffs, CSU returned the favor winning with the same score. The two met again for a chance to play in the National Championship game. BYU used a strong third quarter to get the win.
