Miklain Huntsman Signs with Detroit Titans

Miklain Huntsman is the latest Utah player to sign with an NCAA D-I school. Huntsman inked a letter of intent with the Detroit Titans who compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
“I tend to follow my gut feeling and after visiting over 70 colleges I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted,” said Huntsman regarding choosing Detroit. “It just felt right, especially after I got to meet the coaches, they are really great! They know what they are doing.”
Huntsman is currently a senior at Skyline and will captain the Eagles for the second straight year.

“I love the adrenaline I get pumping through my body every game and the feeling when I make an assist or a goal is indescribable,” said Huntsman. “I really can’t wait to just be with my team, we are all best friends and we have already all been working really hard.”
Huntsman also plays on XTEAM which is a national club team dedicated to leveling the playing field for girls from ‘non-traditional’ lacrosse playing areas.
“I really loved playing in Boston because the field is literally in the middle of the city but I also loved Florida and California because you are playing right next to water,” said Huntsman.

“It’s definitely a reachable dream with lots of time, dedication, heart, and drive I feel confident that most any girl could do it if they are willing to work for it,” said Huntsman. “I would advise girls to do lots of the out of state tournaments and email as many college coaches as your little finger tips will let you. Stay confident and work hard, it will pay off!”
Huntsman joins Morgan Judd who also signed with NCAA D-I San Diego State.
