Prodigy Play of the Week: Week 8 Nominees

This may be the best week of plays so far this season. Week 8 of the Prodigy Play of the Week is now live. So many to choose from. Who is going to win it? Remember, only 5 votes per day, per play, from the same IP address will count towards the final tally. Check out the highlight and vote. Spread the word to all your friends! No. 1 – Chase Paulson – Brighton
In a key conference showdown, Brighton Attackmen Chase Paulson takes the ball to the cage and ties the game with 4 seconds left.
No. 2 – Graney Brothers – Juan Diego
The Graney Brothers, both Juan Diego Attackmen, work their magic with Luke seeing Matthew cutting, does a no look pass and Matthew finishes strong right on the crease.
No. 3 – Chantz Roberts – Herriman
Herriman Attackmen Chantz Roberts gets the ball and finds himself in a one-on-one situation with the Lehi goalie. Roberts fakes the goalie so hard the goalie falls, leaving the goal wide open for Roberts.
No. 4 – Weston Cash – Alta
Alta Attackmen Weston Cash picks the ball out of the air on a ride, then takes it to the cage for the goal.
No. 5 – Katy Miele – Park City
Haley Adelman from Park City finds Katy Miele cutting down the middle of the field. Miele dunks it home for the great goal.
No. 6 – Jordan Higgs – Weber
Weber Attackmen Jordan Higgs had the ball at X. His defender was playing him well so Higgs throws a behind-the-back stick fake which fools the defender. Higgs then takes it to the crease for the wrap around goal.
No. 7 – Juan Diego Face-off Fast Break
Juan Diego FOS Alex Day wins the face-off, takes it to the box, finds Luke Graney who finds Matthew Graney who feeds to Tommy Maddox for the great goal.
No. 8 – Sean Sloan – Judge
Judge Midfielder Gabriel Rechsteiner finds attackmen Grant Pierce on the crease. The Brighton defense knocks the ball out but Judge Midfielder Sean Sloan picks it out of the air and quick sticks it into the goal for the game winner in overtime.
No. 9 – Carson Dutkanych – Park City
Park City Attackmen Christian Pompoco finds teammate Carson Dutkanych who goes through two defenders and scores while falling.
No. 10 – Copper Hills OT Game Winner
Copper Hills Midfielder Sam Taylor passes it to Austin Rekouits but the Jordan goalie comes out of the crease and nudges Rekouits just enough to cause the ball to deflect off his stick and into the goal for the game winner in overtime.
