The Blue Devils and Toads competed in the 2012 Northern Utah Lacrosse Championship on Thursday August 9th @ Constitution Park in Brigham City.  It was a great game with some high competition.  The Blue Devils led most of the game with a score of 4-2 going into the 2nd half, and with a score of 5-4 at the end of the 3rd quarter.  Shots, ground balls and face-offs won were very close between both teams making it equally matched most of the way. The Toads were able to turn it on more in the 4th quarter however as Shay Underwood and McKade Garrett scored 2 goals each, adding to their already 2 goals each, leading the Toads to an 8-6 win.
“It was a great 3rd season for the league,” said commissioner Chase Read.  “Each team brought plenty of competition each game and we look forward to adding two or more teams teams next year to the league as we move the field to the Brigham City Sports Complex.  It will be a good next step for the league to move to the complex allowing us more fields to use, making room for more teams. We are looking to expand each year, and invite plenty of players to join the league next year.”

  1. Sounds like a good league is growing up north. Is there also a men’s league down south? Anyone interested in putting together a weekend tournament between the winners of the leagues?
