Tryouts For Completely Overhauled Utah Starz Tomorrow

Utah StarzStarted in 1996, the Utah Starz Lacrosse Club is proud to be the first lacrosse club in the state of Utah. Our mission is simple – to make kids better lacrosse players and people by providing challenging & competitive lacrosse experiences and providing the highest quality coaching in the state of Utah to achieve success.
Boasting over 12 All-American Awards, over 15 All-Conference Awards, and multiple state, section, and regional championships, the playing careers and on-field experiences of our coaching staff is impressive to say the least. Combine that with over 6 State Championships won locally as coaches and of course all kinds of club level success as well, there is no doubt that the Utah Starz coaching staff is simply unmatched, no question, no comparison, not even close.

The new Utah Starz is refreshingly different than the lacrosse clubs of today. We do not simply recruit top players from all over to throw teams together that win club tournaments and we definitely don’t want to be as big of a club as possible either because we aren’t around to try to make a bunch of money.
Instead, we focus on player development on and off the lacrosse field. We limit space on every one of our teams, and require our players to make a commitment to their coaches and teammates to provide a positive, personable experience. We also strive to build from within by welcoming kids of all skill levels into our Rising Starz recreational level and providing high level coaching at a very affordable price so they can develop and rise to the higher “comp” level of the club.
For players at the highest level who have the desire to pursue opportunities to play at the college level, our club affiliation with Adrenaline, the relationships our coaches have with other coaches around the country, and our “Super Starz level” provides those players all the tools and resources they need, including a $500 recruiting video for free!
We are interested in finding players entering grades 5 – 12 from all over the state that are interested in putting in a lot of work over the summer to improve their game and get to the next level. Recreational-level Utah Starz players will learn the fundamental lacrosse skills and knowledge that will help them receive future opportunities to play at a competitive level. Competitive-level Utah Starz players will further develop fundamental lacrosse-skills as well as mature through positive experiences and competitive situations through the summer that will help transform bubble-players into varsity starters and help varsity starters become all-state players.
The final session for the comp level of the Utah Starz club is Saturday May 31st at Sunnyside Park near the U of U campus. The field at Sunnyside Park is located at about 650 S. Guardsman Way (15th East). Players going into 5th – 8th grade tryout from 9 – 10:30 a.m. and players entering 9th – 12th grade tryout from 10:30 – 12:00 p.m. Register online for tryouts at www.utahstarz.com
