This week’s ULN Coaches Poll for the Utah Boys High School division saw some major shake-up in the top 10.
See last week’s ULN Coaches Poll here for reference.
Lone Peak jumped three spots to the No. 3 ranking in our ULN Coaches Poll, as they defeated Juan Diego 11-4. The Knights were also aided by the fact that last week’s No. 3 and No. 4 team both had losing weeks.
Herriman, fell seven spots in the rankings after a narrow loss to Timpanogos followed by a blowout win for Spanish Fork two days later. The Mustangs will face three more teams that have made appearances in the ULN Coaches poll this season in Juan Diego, American Fork and Copper Hills.
The Olympus Titans dropped two spots in the standings to No. 6 after their 16-12 loss at the hands of the Brighton Bengals, who held on to their No. 2 ranking from last week. The Bengals also took down the Jordan Beetdiggers by a score of 19-3.
Park City remained the top team in the state as they faced only out-of-state teams this past week. The Miners faced Cherry Creek (CO), a game they lost 15-1 against the Colorado powerhouse that is ranked No. 1 in-state and No. 15 in the nation by MaxPreps. They then took on Valor Christian in a game they narrowly lost 12-8.
Other movement in the standings saw East reentering the polls at No. 8 and Copper Hills moving up one spot to No. 7 from the previous week.
