LaX RoX tournament hosts close to 30 Utah teams

The LaX RoX tournament, hosted by the Southern Utah Lacrosse Association, was held Feb. 23-24 in Saint George, Utah. Nearly 30 teams from Utah participated at what was a successful tournament that was in its third year. There was action even in the midst of a surprise snowstorm, with competitive play on both the men’s and the women’s side. Recaps of day one and day two have been posted on our website.

High school season kicks off Tuesday

The long anticipated wait for high school lacrosse is over. The boys high school season begins tomorrow, with Timpanogos High School traveling to take on Bingham High School at South Jordan Middle School. On Wednesday, Copper Hills will take on Spanish Fork in what looks to be a competitive game. For a full schedule, visit our schedule page.



Utah teams compete at Best of the West tournament

The Best of the West tournament was held this last weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. Teams from all over the western United States and Canada came to tune-up for the season and showcase their talent.

Those competing on the boys’ side were Bonneville, Davis, Herriman, Lone Peak, Fremont and Skyridge. The complete list of their scores can be found on the Best of the West website.

The girls bracket included Utah teams such as Herriman, Lone Peak, Skyline, Jordan, Brighton, Riverton, Davis, Woods Cross and Copper Hills. The Lone Peak women won the tournament, beating Herriman 14-6 in an all-Utah championship game. The complete scores of the women’s varsity bracket can be found here.
