Welcome to the newest article series on Utah Lacrosse News, the ULN Dispatch. Leading up to the start of the season, the ULN Dispatch will keep you up to date on the latest news, recaps, social media highlights and more from around the state and nationally. During the season we hope to publish a new ULN Dispatch every morning.

– UVU dropped games to No. 1 Colorado (12-5) and No. 4 Colorado State (15-4) over the weekend. The Wolverines will face No. 7 Boston College today.
– No. 11 Westminster opened their season with a 13-8 win over Oregon and a 13-10 win over Boise State.
– The Ute Women’s Lacrosse team took to the road and went to Denver for a four game stretch. The Utes beat Air Force (12-11, OT), Oakland (9-8), Minn-Duluth (10-2) and SMU (14-8).
– Westminster headed to Philadelphia last weekend where they beat West Virginia Wesleyan (27-7) and lost to IUP (16-6).
High School
The High School season kicked off with several teams heading to St. George or the Best of the West Tournament in Las Vegas.
– In the Boys High School A1 Division: Bonneville (1-3, 4th in A), Bountiful (0-4, 5th in B), Brighton (4-0, 1st in B), Jordan (0-4, 5th in A), Lone Peak (0-4, 5th in B), Park City (3-1, 2nd in C), Sky View (2-2, 4th in B). In the bracket, Brighton lost to Faith Lutheran (NV), Park City beat Timberline (ID) but fell to Coronado-Red in the semifinals.
– BHS A2: Davis (3-0-1, T-1st in B), Judge (2-2, 2nd in B), Logan (2-2, 3rd in A), Olympus (4-0, 1st in A), Riverton (1-3, 3rd in B). Olympus beat Coronado-Blue in the Championship, 6-2.
– In the Girls Varsity Division, Brighton, Herriman, Park City and Jordan all won their pools. Those four teams also made it to the semifinals where Brighton beat Jordan and Park City beat Herriman. In the Championship, Park City beat Brighton, 5-2.
– Boys U15 A: Blackhawks (4-0, 1st in A), Utah Lightening (2-2, 3rd in A), Utah Outlaws (0-4, 4th in A), Utah Starz (0-4, 4th in B), Utah Advantage (2-2, 2nd in B). Blackhawks beat Brady’s Bunch 7-5 in the Championship.
– Boys U13 A: Blackhawks (3-1, 2nd), Utah Starz (0-4, 5th). Blackhawks lost to Brady’s Bunch in the Championship.
