– Boys, Varsity – Park City Boise Invitational Recap (User Submitted)
Park City traveled to Boise this weekend for 4 games in 3 days. For the weekend the team went 4-0 with wins over Eagle (ID) 16-8, Lake Oswego (OR) 12-3, Central Catholic (OR) 13-2, and Timberline (ID) 16-4. The team scored 57 goals (14.3 per game) led by the attack line of Kolton Atkinson, Cole Flinders, Beau Pederson and midfielders Tucker Mirams, Chase Christensen, Chad Merrick. The defense was as equally good all weekend giving up only 17 goals (4.3 per game). Goaltender Ian Sime had 4 good games between the pipes. While the poles in front of him, Josh Hales, Chase Flinders, Tobin Greenwald and D-midi’s Jake Maschoff, Tommy Drain, Cage Lewis, caused turnovers and scooped up the ground balls with regularity. Jackson Burton was his normal reliable self winning 74% of his face-offs. With the wins Park City improves their record to 7-0 and looks at 3 tough upcoming games in the next 10 days (Lone Peak, Bingham, and Corner Canyon).
– Boys: Lone Peak beat Bonneville, 14-5. Josh Stout led all scorers with 6 goals and 2 assists for the Knights. Bonneville was led by Alex Croyle, 2 goals and 1 assist.
– Girls: Pleasant Grove beat Weber, 9-4. Alyssa Luke had 4 goals for the Vikings. Luke and Madison Sulz combined for 12 of 15 draw controls.
– Girls: Copper Hills beat West, 16-1. The Grizzlies had spread scoring with 13 girls getting at least one goal. Kiara Montoya had 3. Copper Hills goalie Nikki Holbrook had 3 saves on 4 shots.

– The MCLA polls were released today. BYU moved up one spot to No. 2. Westminster fell one spot to No. 19. In Division II, Utah State remained at No. 17
