– Boys, Varsity (Sat. & Sun.) | Park City falls to Coronado (NV) then beats Palo Verde (NV) – (User Submitted)
Park City faced Nevada #1 Coronado Red on Saturday at neutral site Juan Diego Stadium. Park City looked strong early up 5-0 but 6 unanswered goals by Coronado had them up 1 midway thru the 4th quarter. PC went on a quick 3 goal run to go up 8-6 with 4 minutes left, but Coronado capitalized on some costly PC penalties and turnovers and scored the final 3 goals of the game to take the 9-8 win and hand PC their first loss of the season. Freshman Beau Pederson (2g 3a) led all scorers with 5pts. Kolton Atkinson (1g 2a), Chad Merrick (2g), Tucker Mirams (2g), and Cole Flinders (1g 1a) rounded out the scoring. Jackson Burton won 16 of 20 face-offs. Ian Sime saved 8 of 17 shots.
In the Sunday game Park City started out slow against Nevada #2 Palo Verde finding themselves down 3-0 only to come charging back to take a 9-7 lead into the half. Park City really turned it on in the 2nd half keeping Palo Verde off the scoreboard until the final minute of the 4th quarter and taking home the 18-8 victory. Kolton Atkinson (7g 2a) had the hot hand totaling 9pts. Cole Flinders (5g 1a), Beau Pederson (1g 4a), Rhino Smith (2g), and Tucker Mirams (1g 1a) all contributed multiple points on the day. Jackson Burton went 19 for 27 at the x and also contributed a goal and 11 gb’s. Ian Sime had 7 saves on 15 shots. Overall PC sent 30 shots on net for the day and picked up 45 gb’s. On the negative side 5 penalties led to 5 man up goals for Palo Verde.
– Girls, Varsity () | West Jordan 13, Waterford 3 (User Submitted)
Leading Scorers: Oliva Morgan (6G – West Jordan), Bella Waters (3G, 2A – West Jordan)
Caitlin Shreeve (1G – Waterford), Chloe Wilcox (1G – Waterford), Julia Martin (1G – Waterford)
Goalie Stats: Katelyn Larsen (3S -West Jordan), Neah Boise (10S – Waterford)
The game started with Waterford’s Caitlin Shreeve winning the draw but the Jaguars were able to to hold off the Waterford offense and a couple minutes in Bella Waters scored for West Jordan. The Lady Jags strung together a number of goals to take an early lead.  Dezeray Kowalski led a stingy West Jordan defense with two caused turnovers and five ground balls and the Lady Jags only allowed one shot the first half and led 8-0.
Waterford had plenty of fight left and Shreeve started off the second half winning the draw. After shots by each team Shreeve converted from the free position for the first score of the half. The game went back and forth and West Jordan was able to maintain the lead and secure the victory.
