Class A
– No. 1 Park City beat No. 8 Spanish Fork, 13-4. After a 45 minute rain/lightning/hail delay the PC vs Spanish Fork game finally got underway with some help from the fans as they shoveled the field lines and creases of the wet heavy stuff left behind by the storm. Not even the sloppy field conditions could slow PC down as they jumped out to a 5-1 first quarter lead and a 7-2 halftime score. In the end PC stood victorious on their home field by way of a 13-4 score. PC was led by Freshman Beau Pederson (2g 2a) and Sophomore JJ Pickard (3g). Seniors Cole Flinders (2g 1a), Chad Merrick (2g), Kolton Atkinson (1g 1a), and Trent Clifford (1g) showed what senior leadership is all about. Rhino Smith and Jackson Burton chipped in with 1 goal each. Burton had another dominating performance facing off going 16 for 21 with 15 gb’s. PC peppered the SF goalies all day, out-shooting their opponent 27 to 6 shots on goal. The defense was led by LSM Chase Flinders (3cto 6gb’s) and the close D trio of Greenwald (2cto), Hales (3cto), and Turner (1cto).
