High School season opened last night long-time rivals going head-to-head.
Local rivals Alta Hawks and Bingham Miners faced off yesterday to open the season.  After both teams were able to shake of the dust from the off season, Alta started proved that they didn’t stop improving over the off season.  Alta beat Bingham 15 – 5.  RECAP | PHOTO

Corner Canyon opened the season against Davis High, beating them 13 – 8
Copper Hills dismantled the West Jordan Jaguars, 21 – 2. Tanner Skadburg led the Grizzlies with 5 goals and 2 assists. Daniel Harmon was the lone scorer for the Jaguars with 2 goals.
Coaches Poll
The first Coaches Poll of the season is now live for both Girls and Boys league.  For the boys league, Brighton is leading the pack followed closely by Park City and Corner Canyon.  For the girls league, Park City is ranked 1st, with Alta and Lone Peak as #2 and #3.

Casey Rose (Corner Canyon) had 1 goal and Zack Franckowiak (Corner Canyon) had 1 goal and 1 assist for the No. 16 ranked Scarlet Knights win over Wagner. Garrett Michaeli (Corner Canyon) also made his first appearance in the same game.
