The University of Utah hosted Utah Valley University yesterday, but couldn’t handle the offensive pressure from the Wolverines.  UVU beat the Utes 14-7.  The Wolverines were led by Attackman Shane Weigman, who had 4 goals and 1 assist.  The Utes put the pressure on UVU’s defense, but thanks to Goalie Shawn Rowley, who had 17 saves, the Wolverines were able to suppress the Utes’ offense.  PHOTOS

Alta’s Chris Belcher put Alta up 6-5 with a goal with 2:40 to play but AF Mid-fielder Kimball Matheny answered 28 seconds later with the equalizer going high on Alta Goalie Jack Babka with just over two minutes to play. Both teams had their chances to close it out in the final moments of regulation but time ran out with the score tied at six.
