There were over 20 games played over the weekend, with all the results in the Scores page.  With Playoffs around the corner, teams are stepping up their game to solidify their position for post-season play.
Womens
The University of Utah claimed the Region Championship this weekend with a win over No. 1 Denver University (Club), 8-4.  With the Region Champ under their belts, they are now looking forward to claiming the National Title.
Mens
The Westminster Griffins faced off against the Colorado Mesa Mavericks Saturday and were dealt their first loss in RMAC play.  It took 4 hard fought quarters, and 2 overtime periods to determine the winner, but the Mavericks walked away with the W, 8-7.  The Mavericks focused on Griffin star Josh Holland, holding him to just 3 goals.  RECAP | PHOTOS
Girls
Timpanogos topped West High in a tight match, 7-6.  Timpanogos is now 2-6 in league play.
Brighton beat Bingham, 11-6.  Brighton remains unbeaten in league play, with a record of 6-0.  Bingham Miners were lead by Alexas Padilla, who had 2 goals and 1 assist.
Boys
No. 1 Brighton took on No. 1 Juan Diego in the highlight match of the weekend.  Brighton walked away with the Win, 15-10.  Juan Diego was lead by Chatz Hower, who score 5 of the 10 goals.  the JD defense contained Preseason All-American Bubba Fairman, so Tennison Schmidt stepped up with 4 goals.  RECAP | PHOTOS – 1PHOTOS – 2

No. 3 ranked Corner Canyon faced off against No. 4 Park City Saturday, Corner Canyon emerging as victors, 13-7.  With the performance of the Chargers defense and the Miners missing their two leading scorers, the Chargers proved to be too much for the Miners.  RECAP
Riverton welcomed Hillcrest (ID) in a cross-state friendly match, with Riverton coming out with the victory, 16-5.  It is Hillcrest’s first season with a varsity level team, which is a testament to the continued growth of the sport.  RECAP
