Utah high school teams to participate in 3rd annual LaX RoX tournament
Over 16 Utah boys high school programs and over 9 Utah girls high school programs will be represented at this week’s LaX RoX tournament held in St. George, Utah. The tournament runs from Feb. 21-22.
The tournament is heading into its third year. Teams from three different states will be represented, including teams from Southern Utah.

March 1st last day to register for boys high school lacrosse
The last day to register for the boys high school league is Thursday, March 1. The cost to register per player is $125, but with the added late fee that started on Sunday the total cost is now $175. Players still wishing to register should do so before March 1.
MCLA polls released, Utah at No. 3 with BYU at No. 4
Week one of the MCLA polls were released today, with two Utah teams sitting in the top 10. Utah jumped five spots after dominating victories over ranked opponents then-No. 10 Cal Poly, and then-No. 3 Cal. The Utes also defeated the now-ranked No. 25 University of Arizona 15-6.
BYU stayed at their No. 4 position from the preseason, after having a bye week. Their first victory of the season came over UNLV 19-11.
BYU will next play at Stanford Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7:00 p.m. PST, followed by current No. 8 ranked Cal. Utah will next travel to Texas where they will take on Texas and Southern Methodist in a two-game road trip.
Utah’s Josh Stout fifth in the nation in scoring after three games
University of Utah Men’s Lacrosse starting attackman Josh Stout is coming off of a 10-point performance at Cal last Sunday. After three games, Stout comes in at fifth in the nation in points per game averaging 5.333 PPG after three games. Stout also currently ranks first in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference.
Stout currently has 11 goals and five assists on the season. Stout trails points leader Quinton Eissler of UNLV who has 25 goals and four assists.
