Welcome to our ULN Staff Picks. Check out our predictions from some of Week 3-Week 4’s matchups. Don’t agree with us? Comment below.

BOYS:

Matchup: Date Tim Haslam Paul Walker Matt Anderson
Northridge vs. Roy 3/22 Northridge Roy Northridge
Reason: This is a great northern match-up. I see this one being very close with Northridge coming away with the victory. I feel like Roy is going create a high scoring run that will give them a win over Northridge. Both teams have been pretty solid early, but Northridge edges Roy.
Viewmont vs Skyline 3/23 Viewmont Viewmont Skyline
Reason: The Vikings are riding high and are one of the few undefeated teams remaining in the state. I like their odds against the Eagles. Viewmont is on a roll and will continue that streak against Skyline. I see Skyline pulling the upset here. Look for the Eagles to win in a close one.
Lake Oswego (OR) vs. Brighton 3/24 Brighton Brighton Brighton
Reason: This will be another great out of state match-up for the Bengals who will come away with a victory. The Bengals have already had ups and downs this season. This battle could go either way, but I have to side with Brighton for a close win. In what will be a close game, Brighton comes away with this one.
Eastside Catholic (WA) vs. Park City 3/25 Park City Park City Park City
Reason: The Miners are playing well at the moment and will look to prove it on the field. Although each was a close match, Park City has defeated a few of the best teams in the state. It will be a close matchup. Miners have a lot of talent, but they need to start scoring more than single digit goals every game. I still see Park City winning this one.

GIRLS:

Matchup: Date Tim Haslam Paul Walker Matt Anderson Chad Martin Chad Staro
American Fork vs. Olympus 3/22 American Fork American Fork American Fork American Fork American Fork
Reason: American Fork will easily handle the Titans. American Fork is a strong team. Olympus has not been as consistant. American Fork is on a roll, and I don’t see that stopping against Olympus. A.F. will take advantage of their experince and dismantle theTitains. AF is the stronger team in the midfield and in the crease. Add to that a more experienced set of starters that will lead AF to the win.
Skyline vs. Alta 3/23 Alta Alta Alta Alta Alta
Reason: The Hawks are just too well rounded at this point in the season which will challenge the Eagles. Alta is doing pretty well right now. They are going to be hard to beat. Alta has had moments of brilliance this season. They will prove to be too much for the Eagles. Hawks will exploit Skyline biggest issue.Keeping the ball out of the net Alta found the scoring touch against Woods Cross, a common opponent already this season with Skyline. The win will be Alta’s 3rd straight while Skyline will see it’s 3rd consecutive loss.
Mountain Crest vs. Box Elder 3/26 Mountain Crest Mountain Crest Box Elder Box Elder Box Elder
Reason: The Mustangs will edge their northern rival in its first home game of the season which will motivate the players that much more. Both teams have had their struggles so far. I think the Mustangs will pull it together to take away the win. Box Elder picks up their first win of the season this week. Bees exterminate the Mustangs this week. Both squads are hungry for win #1 on the season. Box Elder has found the back of the net on offense more readily, but will still need to improve upon their scoring average (6 goals/game) to secure the victory
