US Lacrosse Level I Coaches Certification on October 20

Utah Lacrosse AssociationUS Lacrosse will be sending trained instructors to Utah on October 20 to teach and certify coaches. The training is an official US Lacrosse sanctioned event and participants will earn their US Lacrosse Level I Coaches Certification. The event will take place at The Waterford School in Sandy from 8am to 4pm. The training is for boys and girls coaches.
“This is a great course not only for brand new coaches but also interested parents that want to get into coaching at some point or just to learn teaching points and techniques to help their son or daughter,” said ULA Boys Program Coordinator Bryan Frates.
According to Frates, the ULA will be making it mandatory for youth and highs school head coaches to be Level I certified in the near future.
The participants will learn much more than simple drills, but rather new techniques on teaching the different skills.
“I was blown away by some of the drills/exercises that were revealed at the last Level I clinic,” said Frates. “Participants will also learn how to build their players up in order to get the most out of them and also were informed of some basic first aid and concussion information.”
