LOGAN, Utah — The USU Men’s Lacrosse Team schedule has been released for the 2016 season. The regular season will be comprised of 15 games — 5 home games, 8 road games, and 2 neutral site games, including road stints in Idaho, California, and Montana.
The Aggies are coming off a very successful 12-5 season in the MCLA’s Division-II, including the RMLC D-II championship and a berth in the national D-II playoffs. USU will try to duplicate that success as they enter the very competitive RMLC Division-I this season which includes three teams that finished ranked in the MCLA top-10 last year.
USU starts their season with a big in-state game at traditional state powerhouse BYU on February 6th after which the Aggies have some time to recover and recuperate before a trip to Boise, ID to attempt to avenge a loss to Boise State last season on February 26 and play the University of Washington on the 27th.
The Aggies will take a whirlwind road trip starting with a stop at UNLV in Vegas on March 8, then the Claremont 460px-Utah_State_Aggies_Logo.svgColleges in Claremont, CA on March 9, and UCLA and Loyola Marymount in L.A. on March 11 and 12.
The home opener for USU will finally come on March 20 as they host the College of Idaho, a game the Aggies won by just two goals last season, followed by home games against Metro State on March 26, and Colorado and Colorado State on April 1 and 2.
The Aggies will again take to the road with a trip to Bozeman, Montana to face Montana State on April 8 and the University of Great Falls on April 9. A game at the University of Utah on April 19 and a clash at home against Utah Valley University in a battle of D-I newcomers on April 23 will close out the regular season.
