UVU 2016 Schedule Released

OREM, Utah — The 2016 schedule for the UVU Men’s Lacrosse Team has been released for next season. The schedule includes 15 regular season games — the Wolverines will be host 5 home games, and will play 10 games on the road including trips to Arizona, Nevada, and California.
The Wolverines will be trying to improve on last year’s 4-9 season and will be facing 8 teams ranked in the MCLA top-25 at the end of last season including Chapman, Colorado State, Grand Canyon, Arizona, Westminster, and BYU.
UVU will kick off their season on February 5th against defending MCLA D-I champion Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ and have a quick turn around, playing versus Arizona in Tucson, AZ the very next day. The Wolverines then return home for their home opener versus the University of Montana Grizzlies on February 19th and then play at Westminster on February 27.
The Wolverines will open March by playing back-to-back games on their Nevada road trip, taking on UNLV and UVU LogoChapman University on March 5th and 6th, respectively, in Henderson, NV. UVU will then face the University of Utah on March 10th in a budding rivalry that has been decided by a total of three goals over the past two seasons.
UVU will host the University of New Hampshire over spring break in a cross-country matchup on March 16 before taking a weekend in San Diego, CA playing the University of San Diego and San Diego State on March 18 and 19.
The Wolverines will then remain in the state of Utah for the rest of the regular season, hosting Colorado and Colorado State on April 1st & 2nd, Boise State on April 15th, and close out the season by travelling to BYU and Utah State on April 21st and 23rd, respectively.
