Editor’s Note: The coaches from Wasatch LC will be checking in this week while in Philadelphia, Maryland and New Jersey at the Tri-State Nationals Tournament.
Wasatch LC started their week long East Coast trip today by landing in Philadelphia safely. The first round of 10 players were taken on their first Wawa experience before checking into Fitzsimmons dorm 6th floor on Chestnut Hill College’s campus. Coach Eddinger gave the players a brief tour of CHC and then the team left to pick up the second round of 6 players from the airport. Once assembled, the team traveled North to South Philadelphia for Cheesesteaks. Pat’s and Geno’s being the options, players followed their noses to their choice. Once devoured, Wasatch headed back past the Art Museum and Boat House Row on 76 to campus for a short practice but mother nature prevented that with a severe thunderstorm.
Making the most of what’s around, the players enjoyed some down time before a brief meeting going over trip rules, schedule, etc. This week is for them to be professional lacrosse players and focus entirely on the sport. Our team is psyched to be on the East Coast, being most of their first time east of Colorado for lacrosse. It is a great time for these athletes to showcase their talent and potential to NCAA coaches.
Off to Baltimore, MD tomorrow to tour Loyola and Hopkins. More blogs to come…
