Westminster: Men's Lacrosse Travels to Minnesota for Three Games

SALT LAKE CITY — The seventh-ranked Westminster men’s lacrosse team travels to St. Paul, Minn. this weekend for three games against nationally ranked opponents.  Westminster opens on Friday against No. 4 Grand Valley State and then plays No. 12 Savannah College of Art & Design on Saturday.  The final game of the trip is a showdown with top-ranked St. Thomas (Minn.) on Sunday.  All three games will be played at Sea Foam Stadium on the campus of Concordia (Minn.) University.
Westminster enters the trip with a 3-1 overall record and winners of three straight.  The Griffins are 2-1 against ranked opponents this season, including a 16-11 win over then No. 24 Concordia (Calif.) in the last outing on February 28.  Westminster has outscored the opposition 54-23 during the current winning streak.
Three Griffins have reached double figures in points entering the weekend.  Andy Lehr has scored a team-best 14 points behind 11 goals and three assists.  Jake Arthur and Jacob Wayman have scored 13 points apiece.  Arthur has a team-best 13 goals while Wayman leads the team with eight assists.  Dallas McLellan has made 61 saves with a goals against average of 9.73.
