Women’s Lacrosse Plays at Utah Valley on Friday

image005SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women’s lacrosse team will return to action on Friday when they travel to Orem, Utah, for an 8 p.m. (MT) game at Utah Valley. The game will be played at the UVU Intramural Field.
Westminster heads south at 4-2 on the season and riding a three-game winning streak. The Griffins are coming off a 14-10 win over Brigham Young at Dumke Field on March 20.
The Griffins are averaging 16.3 goals per game on the year and they have scored at least 20 goals in a game three times. They allow the opposition to score just 8.8 goals per game while only giving up double figures in goals three times.
Utah Valley enters the game at 1-5 on the season and having dropped five straight. They are scoring 8.0 goals per game while giving up 12.5 per contest.
Westminster is 4-0 all-time against Utah Valley with all four of the previous outings being played at Dumke Field. The Griffins have outscored the Wolverines, 87-21, in the games, including a 23-4 win last season.
